The Highview at SearStone Epitomizes the Bright Future of Retirement Living in North Carolina
Located in the heart of Cary, North Carolina, SearStone blends luxury with exceptional care. The community offers a vibrant, enriching environment for older adults and features expertly designed apartments, a wide range of dining options, easy walkability to incredible amenities, and state-of-the-art health services.
“The Town of Cary has recently added several new accolades to its long list of superlatives,” says David Coster, RLA’s Vice President of Community Development. “U.S. News & World Report ranked Cary #5 on its list of Best Places to Live in the country for 2025–2026. They’ve also deemed Cary the #1 town in North Carolina.”
The opening of The Highview at SearStone in February 2024 marked a significant milestone in upscale retirement living in the Triangle area of North Carolina and highlighted SearStone’s commitment to seamless integration of quality care and refined living. This Phase II Expansion was more than 95% pre-sold and reached 80% occupancy within a few months.
The Highview is a four-story residential addition that includes 149 independent living units, as well as 14 memory care, 14 assisted living, and 24 skilled nursing units. In addition to three new dining venues, the expansion features a 5,000-square-foot auditorium and arts center.
Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided preconstruction and construction services for this SearStone Phase II Expansion project. Stewart & Conners Architects designed a strong axial entry surrounded by outdoor green spaces open to the public and flanked by bright, modern architecture that gives a nod to the existing French provincial style of the larger community.
